Stockholm Sustainability Forum, Oct 4

Status, challenges and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In one week’s time, on Wednesday, October 4, Sustainability Forum will gather at Stockholm University some of Sweden’s most prominent minds in the fields of political science, international law, global health, philosophy, and many more.

This year’s instalment is titled "Universities and the 2030 Agenda: taking stock and moving forward".

Keynote speaker Åsa Persson from the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and one of the authors of the Global Sustainable Development Reports 2023 will talk about the state of play and key challenges for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The talk will be followed by a panel discussion on achieving the SDGs looking at aspects of compliance, implementation and legitimacy with Prof. Karin Bäckstrand, Prof. Jonas Ebbesson and Prof. Åsa Wikforss.

A second panel will discuss transdisciplinary approaches to a sustainable future. Followed by innovative parallel sessions.

Sustainability Forum is arranged by the University Alliance Stockholm Trio, Karolinska Institutet, KTH and Stockholm University.

Many of our project members will attend and be present in various roles. Safe your seat and look out for us there!
