Montserrat Koloffon Rosas is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis of the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She holds a master's degree in Political Science with a specialization in Global Environmental Governance from the VU Amsterdam and a BA in Political Science from the University of Mannheim.
Montserrat's research explores the effectiveness of international (environmental) regimes through the lens of complexity science. She aims to analyze the performance of different types of multi-stakeholder partnerships on implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, employing simulation methods from the system dynamics field. Previously, Montserrat worked on an evaluation project of the CIFF's International Climate Strategy, and she consulted Mexican local governments on the creation of their development plans and performance indicators. She interned at the EU-LAC Foundation, the Mexican Embassy in Berlin, and the GESIS Research Institute in Mannheim. She also collaborated on a Model-Based Analysis project at a sustainability think tank in the US.
